Visitors entering the UAE through Dubai got a special welcome in their passports — a commemorative stamp on the occasion of Eid Al Etihad.

To celebrate the 54th anniversary of the foundation of the UAE, the General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs – Dubai (GDRFA) welcomed passengers entering Dubai's airports with a 'Zayed and Rashid' passport stamp.

Cheerful mascots were present to greet visitors and families, adding a touch of joy to the immigration process.

'Zayed and Rashid' stamp design

The commemorative stamp comes as part of the National Month celebrations (which run from Flag Day to Eid Al Etihad), as well as the 'Zayed and Rashid' campaign that was launched by Brand Dubai earlier.

The campaign is currently running for the second year in a row, and pays tribute to the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and the late Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum, who were Founding Fathers of the UAE. According to Brand Dubai, this year the campaign aims to revive "the spirit of the early years of the Union and introduce visitors to the ideals upon which the UAE was built."

The stamp itself is simple — it features a drawing of the Founding Fathers simple yet powerful depiction of the Founding Fathers together in solidarity, their iconic profiles in view. The visual has both emotional and symbolic significance, reflecting the values and history of the nation.

The GDRFA has welcomed visitors in a similar manner in the past, with special stamps for the Dubai Airshow, Global Village's 30th season opening, and more.
