Dubai: 5,000kg of drugs seized, destroyed in 287 criminal cases

Five tonnes (5,000kg) of narcotic substances and psychotropic drugs were seized in 287 criminal cases and destroyed by the Dubai Public Prosecution. These substances were confiscated as part of different investigations and destroyed after the court rulings were finalised.

The substances were destroyed in strict accordance with safety regulations, environmental protection protocols, and internationally recognised standards for the safe disposal of hazardous substances.
