DUBAI - Preparations are underway to plan the Sweet Surprises themed week to be held from June 30 to July 6, 2005 during the forthcoming Dubai Summer Surprises 2005 (DSS 2005).
The Dubai Department of Tourism & Commerce Marketing (DTCM) recently held a meeting with its partners to chalk out broad guidelines for the event.
The meeting, was held with the department's eight supporting partners for the DSS including the Intercontinental Hotel, Jumeirah International, Bab Al Shams, Emirates Culinary Guild, Nestle, Abela Paris Gallery and Campomatic.
According to the Chairperson of the DSS Sweet Surprise Committee Shaikha Al Mutawa, "This year's events are totally different and aimed at families. Every effort has been made to keep them refreshing, educational and entertaining."
She said this year's Sweet Surprises will have renewed programmes from the previous year in order to attract more visitors. The event will also retain some of its regular programmes and activities of the previous years.`
Sweet Surprises is one of the themed weeks of DSS which is being held for the eighth consecutive year from June 22 to September 2, 2005. The 10-week, multi-venue summer recreational extravaganza is held under the theme 'Big Fun for Little Ones'.
