Dhahi Khalfan receives IRO certificate
DUBAI - Lieutenant General Dhahi Khalfan Tamim, commander-in-chief of Dubai Police, yesterday received a membership certificate of International Rescue Dog Organisation (IRO), which was delivered to him by Dr W. Zoner, chairman of IRO, at the Dubai Police headquarters. Also present was Captain Abdul Al Salam Al Shamsi, director of the Sniffer Dog Section at Dubai police.

IRO is an Austria-based organisation working under the umbrella of International Search and Rescue Advisory Group, which itself is an inter-governmental network under the UN umbrella and deals with urban search, rescue and disaster response-related issues. Speaking on the occasion, Dhahi Khalfan reiterated the keenness of Dubai Police to enhance skills in all aspects of security.
