The Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (Dewa), in collaboration with the Dubai-based Family Gathering Centre, organised a programme to support the innovation and creativity of a group of elderly Emirati citizens.
The event - held at The Dubai Mall - gave the participants a first hand opportunity to experience and learn about marine creatures that inhabit the Dubai Aquarium.
According to Dewa, the move complements its vision of fulfilling its commitment to implement corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities.
"Dewa's strategic commitment to maintaining its CSR supports the directives of His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, urging the people of the UAE to unite and do good for others," said Dewa Managing Director and CEO Saeed Al Tayer.
During the event, Al Tayer gave gifts to the eldery and together they listened to Emirati traditional songs and poems. Other entertaining activities were also held.
