Daman's plan is as per the Ministerial Decision No. 322/2008 with regard to all applications for visit visas in the UAE.
According to the changes in the national visa system, several types of visit visas are available. One of the mandatory conditions is proof of health insurance.
"As the nation's primary health insurance company, we are always in the forefront to support any national developments and changes. The new Visitor's Plan has been specifically designed to provide emergency in-patient healthcare insurance for any visitor, which facilitates the visa application process as well as the visitor's stay in the UAE," said Dr Michael Bitzer, CEO of Daman.
"Three insurance-packages are ready for immediate use with competitive and affordable prices so as to further provide some peace of mind to the visitors."
Dr Bitzer added the validity of this heath insurance policy will be terminated with the expiry of the visa and Daman will not be responsible for any emergency medical coverage exceeding the visa period.
The three visitor-packages are valid for 30, 60 and 90 days with gross premiums of Dh40, Dh70 and Dh90, respectively. Benefits will cover in-patient emergency medical treatment in Daman's UAE network only, with an upper limit of Dh100,000 per person.
Pregnancy and delivery, and eye and dental care are not covered.
