The 11th edition of the TriYAS Challenge which was scheduled to be held on February 12, 2021 at Yas Marina Circuit has been postponed, according to a tweet by Yas Marina.
The postponement comes after close consultation between organisers and local authorities.
According to Yas Marina, the health and safety of the community is a priority for them and the situation is being closely monitored.
For the participants who have already signed up for the triathlon event, registrations will remain valid for the new date.
The event is open to athletes of all ages features swimming, cycling and running. It has various categories and distances in which athletes are able to compete, including Olympic and Sprint, while both male and female Open Water Swims.
A full refund will also be made available for those who have already registered and decide not to participate.
