The first Ultra Music Festival (UMF) Abu Dhabi, an electronic dance music (EDM) festival scheduled to take place on March 5 and 6 has been cancelled, Khaleej Times has learnt. (Events cancelled, postponed over coronavirus scare in UAE)
In a statement to the media, festival organisers said, "The decision has been taken due to the travel restrictions imposed by some countries and airlines for individuals and airlines for individuals and groups." (Coronavirus outbreak: All the latest updates)
Though the event management had earlier said it would go ahead with the event has scheduled, amid Coronavirus scares, a fresh statement was issued late Tuesday night. The internationally acclaimed music festival was to be the highlight of Abu Dhabi Music Week, a ten-day festival of music and dance that will light up the UAE capital from March 1 to 14, 2020.

New dates for the event will be shared in the future and tickets for the event will be refunded as well. The decision has been taken to ensure the health and safety of the public, added organisers.
Not cancelled: K-Pop Super Concert
The K-Pop Super Concert, organised by Grace and Co, is expected to take place as scheduled on March 20 at the Coca-Cola arena.

Cancelled: Music Bank in Dubai
However, organisers of the Music Bank concert, which was set to take place on March 21, said the event has been postponed.
A statement from 'Music Band' said, "In light of the global developments around the Covid-19 virus, and the increasing number of infections confirmed in South Korea, MAKESTAR and the Korea Broadcasting System (KBS), have taken the prudent decision to postpone 'Music Bank in Dubai' scheduled for March 21st at the Coca-Cola Arena."
Ticket holders will receive an automatic refund from Coca-Cola Arena.
