The UAE Government on Friday announced that it will activate the 'remote work' system for two weeks for 'some categories' of public sector employees in the federal authorities from Sunday onwards.
As per the announcement made on the social media handle of the UAE cabinet on Friday, the work from home privilege will be available for mothers with children in Grade 9 or smaller classes, elderly employees, pregnant women, employees with disabilities, those with diseases that compromise the immune system, in addition to employees from the age group over 60 years old.
The move comes a day after the Abu Dhabi and Dubai governments announced the 'remote work' system for the public sector of their respective emirates as preventive measures against the spread of Covid-19.
