The Ajman Police have provided shelter to three French children who were left alone after their mother was admitted to a hospital due to severe depression and nervous disorder.
Brigadier Sultan Al Nuaimi, Chief of Ajman Police, said that they received information from a social worker at Dubai's Rashid Hospital about the children including two boys and a girl - aged 5, 10 and 12 years - who were left alone at their house in Ajman without food and care. It was also said the mother of the children had been admitted to the hospital.
According to the security check report, the woman entered the country along with her children on visit visa five months ago. The police said her visa is already expired. She is also facing a court case filed by the hotel where she overstayed without paying for the services. She was released on bail until she settles the dues to the hotel.
After receiving information about the children, the social support team of the Ajman Police reached the apartment to find them alone, hungry and terrified, looking for their mother.
The police took the children and provide them with temporary shelter and all kinds of care.
The officers at the social support department coordinated with the Ajman orphanage to take care of the children. They also kept in touch with the hospital to check on the mother's health. The physicians at the hospital said that the woman's health condition was unstable and needed treatment.
The French consulate in Dubai had been explained about the situation of the mother and her children. The consulate promised to solve the problem of the mother and her children as soon as possible.
The officers also visited the mother in the hospital to provide her with any necessary support and help until she is back to her children.
