The UAE has expressed its full solidarity with a tragic fire that broke out at the Crans-Montana ski resort, resulting in dozens of deaths and injuries.
In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Mofa) conveyed its profound sorrow over the heavy loss of life, affirming the UAE’s support for the government and people of Switzerland during this difficult time.
The Ministry also extended its sincere condolences and heartfelt sympathy to the families of the victims, wished a speedy recovery to all those injured, and expressed its solidarity with everyone affected by this painful tragedy.

Around 40 were killed and over 100 injured when a fire ripped through a crowded bar in the luxury Swiss ski resort town of Crans-Montana early Thursday as young revellers rang in the New Year.
Horrified bystanders described "panic" as people tried to break the windows of the bar to escape, and others, covered in burns, poured into the street.
Police, firefighters and rescuers rushed to the popular resort, which is set to host the Ski World Cup from January 30, after the fire broke out in the early hours of New Year's Day.
As Swiss investigators began the painful task of identifying the burned bodies of the devastating ski resort fire, several news outlets have identified a 17-year-old Dubai-based student as one of the victims.
The youngster in question was a talented golfer and a regular on the golfing circuits in the country, who had last participated in the UAE Cup which took place in December.
