UAE offers condolences to Egypt over death of army jet crew after crash

The UAE has offered its condolences to Egypt over the death of an army jet crew during a training excercise.

The Egyptian armed forces spokesman said in a statement that a training jet crashed on Monday due to a technical issue, killing its crew. It did not specify where the incident happened.

In a statement, the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs extended "its sincere condolences and sympathy to the government and people of the Arab Republic of Egypt, and to the families of the victims of this tragedy."

It also expressed its solidarity with Egypt over the incident.
