UAE condemns Israeli settlers' calls to bomb Al Aqsa mosque, assault on Christians in Jerusalem
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said Israeli authorities were responsible for stopping the escalation

The UAE has condemned in the strongest terms the extremist incitement by Israeli settler organisations calling for the bombing of Al Aqsa Mosque and the Dome of the Rock in Jerusalem.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Mofa) also said in a statement that the UAE strongly condemns Israel’s violations against Christians in Jerusalem during Holy Saturday, including the prevention of access to churches and physical assaults.

It warned of serious consequences of these repressive practices, which threaten further tension and escalation in the region.

The UAE’s position on the necessity of providing full protection for Islamic and Christian holy sites and putting an end to serious and provocative violations in the Al-Haram Al-Sharif is firm, the statement added.
The Ministry also held Israeli authorities responsible for stopping the escalation and called for refraining from actions that would increase tension and instability in the region, reaffirming the UAE’s unequivocal rejection of all practices that violate international legitimacy and threaten further escalation.
The Ministry emphasised "the importance of respecting the role of the sisterly Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in the custodianship of the holy sites and endowments, by international law and the established historical status quo, and not undermining the authority and powers of the Jerusalem Awqaf Department and the administration of Al-Aqsa Mosque, the Dome of the Rock, and the surrounding courtyards".
It expressed the UAE’s full solidarity with Jordan and support for all measures it takes to protect the holy sites.
