A municipality cleaner was caught on camera dumping waste on a beach in Ras Al Khaimah (RAK).

Ahmed Al Hammadi, director general of the department, said: "This individual deed is absolutely rejected and never reflects the policy of the department."
The erring cleaner has already been summoned, he added. "Internal investigations are on to take legal action against anyone involved in such shameful and unacceptable practices, if any."
Al Hammadi said the investigations will cover all the officials involved in the campaign that has been run in collaboration with the environment protection and development authority in RAK.
"No one, junior or senior, shall be spared if involved in this illegal practice."
Following the incident, the RAK department of public works has directed its staff cleaners to follow strictly the directives of the department and do their duties round the clock.
