The beautiful story started underwater, with Dubai's first industry — pearl diving. Projected onto the Burj Khalifa were images of breathtaking reefs and shining pearls inside oysters. Then the video moved to the land, showing the vast desert and tribal people riding camels. The scene followed a falcon into the future, through imposing forts built against the natural backdrop of the mountains and valleys. The bird then flew past buildings, showing the beginning of 'modern' UAE. It finally landed on an outstretched arm as the colours of the UAE flag start emerging, signifying the formation of the new country.
