Burj Dubai website crashes as millions go online

Even as the world braces for the spectacular opening of Burj Dubai, the world's tallest tower today, Emaar's website on the superscaper (www.burjdubai.com) seems to have crashed under the weight of expectations.

It has been for the last few months the premier source of information for media agencies which have been charting the progress of the tower.

Till late yesterday evening the site has been referred to by Twitter and Facebook users for various things, including interesting facts and trivia about the super tower.
