Ten warnings have been issued to Abu Dhabi salons and beauty parlours caught flouting rules. The Abu Dhabi Municipality on Saturday said they inspected 167 beauty salons in a five-day campaign to ensure that the beauty centres adhered to hygiene requirements.
Through the campaign, the civic body also made sure that no harmful ingredients or materials like black henna and Chinese henna were being used at salons.
The campaign also raised awareness among the beauty centres about the importance of abiding by customers' safety and health requirements.
The drive is part of an ongoing monitoring and inspection programme undertaken by the municipality in its endeavours to maintain the health and safety of the community members.
