Finally, one of the most successful reality television shows, Project Runway has come to the region.
The show, which is now in its 16th season in the United States, has Heidi Klum as the host.
Each season a group of aspiring fashion designers compete to win, and hope to become fashion's next discovery.
One among them is fashion consultant and the mentor of the show Tim Gunn, who has become one of the most celebrated fashion gurus in the world.

Middle East judging panel
> Lebanese designer Elie Saab
> Tunisian model and actor Afef Jnifen
> Saudi Arabia's creative expert Faris Al Shehri
> Supermodel and actor Milla Jovovich
> Former editor in chief of French Vogue, Carine Roitfeld
Though there have been numerous spinoffs, it's now that the region got its very own Project Runway.
The Arabic show will go on air starting Sept.17 on MBC4 and MBC MASR 4.
Welcoming the show to the Middle East, Dubai Design District (d3) hosted a dinner on Sunday night for the design and fashion industry.
The Middle East's first winner will be chosen during the grand finale slated for Dec.10 at the d3.
The show is arranged in partnership between Elie Saab, the world famous Lebanese's designer - who will head the judging panel - and the MBC group.
While the second judge is Tunisian model and actor Afef Jnifen, Saudi Arabia's creative expert Faris Al Shehri takes up the role of mentor.
The list of guest judges that will appear on the show includes supermodel and actor Milla Jovovich and former editor in chief of French Vogue, Carine Roitfeld.
Dubai's role is crucial as the winner will receive a one year contract for their label at d3 and also a one year membership to the Dubai Design and Fashion Council.
They will also receive a cash prize of $50,000, courtesy Maybelline.
However, the list of 15 participating designers does not have a representation from Dubai. Designers from Egypt, Iraq, Bahrain, Kuwait, Lebanon, Algeria, Tunisia, Syria, Morocco, Saudi Arabia and Jordan are included in the list.
