All Ajman government employees will return to work from August 3, the emirate's Department of Human Resources announced on Sunday.
The announcement was made in a circular issued by the department to all local government authorities.
The circular stipulated the cancellation of exemptions of specific categories of staff from returning to work, except for those with chronic diseases. This category of employees can continue working from home provided they submit a medical report approved by the relevant authorities and the emirate's medical committee.
The department stressed the need for government authorities to comply with "current safety standards and precautionary measures to ensure the continuity of business and protect employees and customers".
