Residents of Ajman welcomed the reopening of parks after it shut to curb the spread of Covid-19. Rabab Dagash said the reopening of the park is great news to hear, as children and the elderly are tired of staying behind the walls. "Today, I will take my children to the parks and ride their bicycles," she said.
Abdul Rahman Mohammad Al Nuaimi, director-general of the Ajman Municipality and Planning Department, said they have been training all park employees on how to deal with visitors. "The department of agriculture and public parks in the municipality has a detailed plan to ensure the preservation of the health and safety of every visitors to the parks."
He added that the emirate's parks are the most vital places that witness a turnout of families.
Ahmed Saif Al Muhairi, director of agriculture and public park department, said works were carried out in full swing to equip all health and safety elements in the park. "The team will work to continue sterilisation operations with a focus on facilities that witness multiple-use, including entrances, waiting rooms, restrooms, and walking tracks."
"Visitors must wear masks at all times and the maximum number of people in a group has been restricted to five members. Food and drinks are allowed, provided that eateries adhere to the requirements and encourage payment through smart payment channels," he added.
