125 warring couples patch up out of court, thanks to cops in UAE

Ajman - The disputes were resolved in a peaceful way, relying on the principle of tolerance and making the parties realise the importance of family ties.

A total of 125 marital and family disputes were resolved amicably by the Social Support Centre (SSC) of Ajman during the first six months of this year. It is part of the efforts of the Ajman Police to ensure social security.
Captain Wafa Khalil Al Hosani, the director of Ajman-SSC, said the centre helped warring parties strike a mutual agreement and settle issues out of court. "Cases have been handled by the centre in a way that guarantees victims' safety and diginity," he added.
Hosani pointed out the disputes were resolved in a peaceful way, relying on the principle of tolerance and making the parties realise the importance of family ties.
Employees of SSC have scripted huge success during the Covid-19 pandemic by working remotely to solve the cases received by the centre and find reconciliation between disputing parties.
They also participated in various awareness activities in the schools across the emirate of Ajman and conducted educational lectures.
