Air tickets for winner of radio contest

DUBAI - A UAE resident, who has being living in Dubai for the past 30 years, won the first place in a HUM FM radio competition on recycling and environment protection.

Enayat Ahmad Khan bagged two return flights to Lahore as reward after correctly answering questions about the mobile phone recycling campaign launched by EnviroFone during a phone-in competition on Hum FM radio station. Enayat, who is a trader in hospitality supplies, will be visiting family and friends in Lahore with his wife.EnviroFone, which encourages members of the public to deposit old or broken mobile phones in drop boxes located throughout the Emirates, was launched in June 2007. The company recently announced it had collected 100,000 phones and is hopeful it will reach its target of 250,000 handsets by the end of the year.
