UAE to send 200 volunteers to help fight Australian bushfires

Sheikh Mohamed discussed the severity of the crisis with Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison.

The UAE is sending 200 volunteers to Australia to provide relief and support to the people affected by the ongoing bushfire crisis, which has killed more than 25 people, millions of animals, and destroyed thousands of homes.
The UAE Red Crescent will be sending 200 volunteers, a source told Khaleej Times on Wednesday.
"We are providing relief and instructing how to deal with the fire and smoke. The smoke is more dangerous than the fire. We have a very good team."
His comments come a day after His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, offered to help Australia tackle its months-long bushfire crisis.
Sheikh Mohamed discussed the severity of the crisis with Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison. He said the country was ready to offer expertise, equipment, manpower and other forms of support to fight the fires.
