A UAE government department issued an advisory regarding leaking toilets on Monday. The advisory told residents on how to avoid inflated monthly water bills.
In a tweet, the Abu Dhabi Distribution Company reminded residents to ensure that the toilet handle is in the correct position, adding that a tilted handle could result in a water leak, wasting both water and money.
"Make sure that the toilet handle is in the correct position and not tilted as this can cause water to leak inside the toilet and increase your monthly bill," the tweet added.
