These are aimed at improving the movement of traffic by developing parking zones and roundabouts, while enhancing the quality of life of residents by providing such facilities.
A total of 723 parking spaces have been created, of which 103 are new. The 620 existing parking slots have been repaired and old asphalt replaced. The size and direction of the old parking slots have been modified.
Nine parking spaces in the area have been allocated for people of determination.
The engineers also worked on the rainwater drainage networks and installed new street lighting poles in the area.
The infrastructural works included the construction of pedestrian paths covering about 10,150 square meters of tile work, establishing humps to slow down traffic and ensure safety of pedestrians, as well as the development of entrances and exits leading to the police station building.
The roundabout in the area has also been widened to two lanes from one, in addition to the renovation of 15,400 square meters of asphalt works.
