The Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company's (Adnec) iconic Capital Gate tower in the UAE Capital lit up with the colours of the Lebanese flag on Friday night.
According to the Abu Dhabi Media Office, this was a show of solidarity with Lebanon and its people following Tuesday's deadly blast in the Lebanese capital Beirut.

The touching move typifies the UAE's generous support for Lebanon, including tonnes of aid, in its time of need.
The blast killed at least 154 people, injured 5,000 and left up to 250,000 without habitable homes, hammering a nation already staggering from economic meltdown and a surge in coronavirus cases.
