The government of Abu Dhabi will spend Dh2.78 billion to disperse housing loans to 1,500 Emiratis, and exempt mortgage repayment for 476 retirees, the Abu Dhabi Media Office has announced.
The disbursement and exemption of the loan repayments has been ordered by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, on the occasion of Eid Al Adha.
"The approval of the second installment this year of housing loans for 1,500 citizens and the first repayment exemptions for 476 retirees coincides with Eid Al Adha as part of the leadership's commitment to ensuring social stability and enhancing UAE's nationals' living standards," Abu Dhabi Media Office said on Twitter.
"The directives to double the number of housing loans for UAE citizens fall within the Abu Dhabi Government Accelerator Programme, Ghadan 21."
