Abu Dhabi shuts down butchery for repeated food safety violations

Authorities in Abu Dhabi have shut down a butchery due to repeated food safety violations that posed a significant danger to public health.
On Monday, the Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority (Adafsa) said that it has issued a decision to administratively close Boha Butchery-LLC. located in Zayed Port.
The food establishment was found violating Law No. (2) of 2008 on food safety in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and its associated regulations, it said.

"Its practices pose a serious risk to public health," it added.
The butchery also failed to implement effective corrective measures, necessitating an immediate intervention to safeguard food safety and consumer health.
