UAE: Asian man returns money to police, honoured for integrity

An Asian man returned a sum of money that he found in Abu Dhabi to the police—an act of integrity and civic responsibility that did not go unnoticed.
To appreciate his honesty, the emirate's police have honoured the man and gifted him with a present.

Although the authority did not specify the amount which was found, it said that he promptly handed it over to the External Areas Police Directorate at Baniyas Police Station.
In the UAE, residents are often honoured in recognition of their efforts. Last year, Abu Dhabi Police honoured a child for reporting a traffic accident, in which a person hit a motorcycle and left the scene without providing any assistance.
