Abu Dhabi residents and visitors can make the most of their break this Eid as the UAE capital has created a packed calendar with big-name concerts and museum experiences to free heritage events and late-night outings.

Concerts to headline the weekend
Music fans can kick off Eid with two back-to-back concerts at Space42 Arena in Al Raha Beach. Emirati singer Hussain Al Jassmi will perform on March 21, followed by Egyptian artist Ahmed Saad on March 22. Both shows start at 9pm, with doors opening at 7pm. Tickets are available online.

Museums turn into family hubs
Abu Dhabi's museums are rolling out extended programmes designed to keep families busy throughout the holiday. At Natural History Museum Abu Dhabi, children can join drop-in activities such as plant exploration sessions, paper seashell crafts and bilingual storytelling. Guided tours during Eid will explore themes linking science, nature and faith, while a "gratitude tree" installation invites visitors to leave personal messages. Entry is Dh70 for adults, while children under 18 can enter for free.
Meanwhile, Zayed National Museum is hosting a multi-day programme themed around family and heritage. Visitors can watch traditional performances like Al Ayyala and Al Harbiya, try hands-on workshops, and explore interactive spaces including memory-making stations and cooking sessions inspired by Emirati cuisine. The museum will also run accessibility-focused sessions for people with visual impairments and those on the autism spectrum.
Free heritage events across Abu Dhabi and Al Ain
Several cultural sites are hosting free events, particularly in Al Ain, making them ideal for families. At Al Ain Museum, visitors can watch traditional Ayala performances, join storytelling sessions and take part in children’s workshops such as building model houses or decorating candy boxes.
Across key landmarks like Al Ain Oasis, Al Jahili Fort and Qasr Al Muwaiji, evening events will feature live heritage performances including Razfa and Harbiya.
At Souq Al Qattara, visitors can explore craft workshops, traditional games and live demonstrations of Emirati skills such as Al Sadu weaving and coffee-making.
Food, crafts and late-night experiences
For those who prefer a more relaxed outing, Al Hosn will host 'Fuwalat Al Eid', where visitors can create their own mix of traditional sweets and fruits, alongside performances and giveaways.
Night owls can head to Al Maqta’a Museum, which is running evening activities until March 23, including food stalls, retail kiosks and interactive experiences.
Something for film lovers and children
At Louvre Abu Dhabi, a free screening of 'The Red Turtle' will take place on March 20, inspired by marine conservation themes.
Families can also catch a puppet show at Cultural Foundation, while Manarat Al Saadiyat is offering casual board games and majlis-style gatherings.
Corniche laser show lights up Eid nights
One of the highlights this year is a light and laser show along the Abu Dhabi Corniche, running from Friday to Sunday.
The show will take place daily from sunset until midnight, offering a free waterfront spectacle for residents looking for a relaxed evening outing.
