Authorities in Abu Dhabi have shared a video of multiple accidents in the UAE capital, caused by motorists who were using their mobile phones while driving.

Abu Dhabi Police shared a 57-second clip as part of As part of Gulf Traffic Week where three crashes can be seen. In the first incident, a speeding grey sedan rams into a white car on the third lane. The driver tries to take evasive action at the last moment but is too late as the motorist crashes into the car in front before the vehicle careens off and smashes into the safety barrier on the left. The car flips after hitting the railing and tumbles before coming to a halt, upside down.
In the second incident, a white luxury car can be seen speeding down the fast lane and smashing into slow-moving traffic. Again, the driver tries to take evasive action but is unable to as the motorist rams into a car. The impact is such that the driver is unable to control the vehicle and smashes into a pick-up truck and veers off into the third lane on the right.

The third incident sees a distracted driver go over a raised median before flipping and coming to a rest upside down.
