Abu Dhabi authority launches new winter safety campaign

The Abu Dhabi Civil Defence Authority has launched a new 'Winter Safety' campaign to increase awareness of seasonal accident risks.
The campaign aims to reinforce a culture of prevention and safety in homes, camps, and facilities. It will also encourage members of the community to adopt safe behaviour during winter activities.

It said that this initiative comes as an extension of its approach to reducing risks before they occur. The authority also explained that the campaign falls within its strategy to strengthen the shift toward an integrated preventive system that relies on community awareness as the first line of defence.
The campaign intends to reach all segments of society, and includes a series of field and awareness activities in schools, shopping centres, recreational areas, events, camps, and majlis gatherings.
Community members have been urged to follow the campaign’s activities through its official platforms and adhere to safety instructions, emphasising that prevention is a shared responsibility that contributes to protecting everyone.
The authority also stressed the importance of immediately reporting emergencies via 999, giving way to Civil Defense vehicles, and avoiding crowding at accident sites.
