The Ministry of Culture, Youth and Community Development launched operetta 'A message to the mother of the Emirates' on Thursday at the National Theatre in Abu Dhabi, as part of its 44 National Day celebrations.
Under the patronage of Shaikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture, Youth and Community Development, as an appreciation for the efforts of Shaikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women's Union, Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation, and President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, in supporting and caring for Emirati women.
As well as an expression of the society's pride in her as a symbol of continuous generosity. Ali Al Khwar wrote the lyrics of the operetta, Khaled Naser composed it and the artists Balqees and Oraib accompanied by the children's choir will perform the operetta.
Shaikh Nahyan said that when the state in all its local, federal, and private institutions celebrates the "Mother of the Emirates" is a true reflection for her value and place in the hearts of all of the Emirati people.
He asserted that the ministry produced this operetta to be performed during the National Day celebrations to carry sentiments of appreciation of gratitude for her pioneer role in all fields locally, regionally and internationally.
He added that the purpose of this creative work is to be a message of thanks and gratitude of the value and place of Umm Al Emarat "Mother of the Emirates" whose love and kindness went beyond our Shaikhs, the sons of our founding father the late Shaikh Zayed, may God bless his soul, to reach all the Emiratis which truly made her the mother of the Emirates. Her generosity spread to the Arab countries as the Arab league chose her to be the mother of the Arabs, her lavish hands reached became a symbol of humanity all over the world.
Meanwhile, several Emirati painters, among them Abdul Rahim Salem, Dr Najat Mekki, Muna Abdul Qader, Musa'ab Al Rayes, Abdul Kareem Sukkar, and Nasser Nasrallah are presenting six murals in different locations; the JBR Dubai and commercial centers in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Al Ain And Sharjah.
