December in the UAE has become a month-long celebration, kicking off with the 31st Dubai Shopping Festival on December 5, featuring daily car and cash prizes, and continuing with festive food, tree lightings, brunches, and Christmas events across the city.

From family outings and kids’ activities, like writing letters to Santa or gliding across the ice rink, there are plenty of ways to enjoy the holiday season in the UAE.

Here are the top Christmas festivals to experience with your family this winter in Dubai, offering festive markets, interactive activities, and seasonal entertainment for all ages:

1. Winter City at Expo City Dubai

Winter City at Al Wasl Plaza runs from December 6 to 31, from 4pm to 10pm.

Tickets are Dh50 per person, with free entry for children aged 3 and under and for Al Wasl Season Pass holders.

Visitors can enjoy a variety of free activities included with the entry ticket, such as:

  2. Marshmallow Snowman Workshop at Sugarplum Land

  3. Meet and Greet with Santa

  4. Tree Lighting Ceremony

Each night, one lucky guest is chosen to light the Winter City Christmas Tree in a festive ceremony that brings the plaza to life.

2. Wafi’s Whimsical Wonderland

From December 6 to 24, Wafi City Mall will come alive with Whimsical Winter Wonderland, featuring dazzling decorations, a grand Christmas tree, and a variety of festive activities to bring the holiday spirit to life.

Guests can meet Santa and his elves at the Grotto, step into Santa’s magical lift, enjoy stage shows, and join Mrs Claus for storytelling sessions.

Children can also take part in workshops, professional face painting, games, candy giveaways, and a treasure hunt at Khan Murjan. Visitors can even write a special letter to Santa to join in the magic.

This festive activation promises fun for all ages, combining interactive experiences with the enchanting atmosphere. Tickets are available online through their website.

3. Madinat Jumeirah’s Christmas Market 2025

Spanning 1,750 square metres, the Madinat Jumeirah Christmas Market is set to delight visitors this holiday season.

Running from December 5 to 31, the market opens from 3pm on weekdays and from 12pm on weekends, offering plenty of festive cheer for families, friends, and holiday shoppers.

At the heart of the market stands a 36-foot Christmas tree adorned with dazzling decorations, accompanied by light and sound shows that bring the festive spirit to life.

Entry to the market is free, while individual activities and attractions require payment.

Visitors of all ages can enjoy a variety of activities that include:

  1. Mini train rides

  2. Bungee jumping

  3. Venetian carousel

  4. Festively decorated abra rides

  5. Gingerbread house

Those looking for gifts and treats can browse the Christmas stalls, enjoy festive dining, and catch live band entertainment throughout the day.

4. Festive Bricktacular

Legoland Dubai Resort will celebrate the holiday season with Festive Bricktacular from December 8, 2025, to January 4, 2026.

Tickets are Dh295 per person online and Dh330 at the gate.

Visitors can take part in the Festive Fun Calendar, hunt for candy canes, watch the Lego Christmas Tree Lighting, and enjoy holiday-themed treats, crafts, and activities.

5. Winter District at Emirates Towers

In 2025, the free Winter District Christmas Market will return to the Jumeirah Emirates Towers, taking place on the square in front of the Museum of the Future from Saturday, December 13, to Sunday, December 28.

The market will operate on weekdays from 12pm to midnight, and weekends will be extended to 1am.

The market offers a variety of activities for visitors:

  1. Festive Marketplace: Holiday gifts, handcrafted ornaments, and local items are available.

  2. Gourmet Food and Beverages: Seasonal treats, international cuisine, and drinks can be purchased.
