From Dubai to Abu Dhabi, expats win Dh100,000 in Big Ticket weekly e-draw

Five expats from India, Bangladesh, Malaysia and the UAE won Dh100,000 each in Big Ticket’s third weekly December e-draw, as the countdown continues toward the Dh30 million grand prize draw in January.

Among the winners was Jibananand Jiban, a 37-year-old sales executive from Bangladesh living in Dubai since 2021. A regular participant for the past year, he purchases tickets monthly as part of a group of 10 friends. Jiban said he initially thought the winning call was a prank and only believed it after seeing the call aired live on Big Ticket’s YouTube channel. He plans to use the prize to visit his family back home and confirmed he will continue participating.

Arun Kumar, an Indian who owns a transportation company, won after seven years of participation. The Abu Dhabi expat has been buying tickets independently since he first started. He described the moment he received the call as exciting and memorable, adding that the win was a reward for long-term commitment.

Another winner, Kumaravel Thangaraju, a 44-year-old professional from Tamil Nadu, India, has lived in Dubai for 20 years and has been purchasing Big Ticket entries monthly as part of a group of 20. After seven years of participation, he said the win came as a shock and described it as a long-awaited moment. Supporting his daughter’s education is among his priorities.

Also celebrating was Hamed Abdul Majeed, who won with ticket number 282-050536. Sharing his happiness, Hamed expressed his appreciation for the experience and confirmed that he will continue purchasing Big Ticket, encouraging others to remain hopeful and take part for a chance to win.

Anthony Lopez from Malaysia won with ticket number 282-221497 after 12 years of participation. Introduced to Big Ticket by friends, he has been purchasing tickets independently since joining. He described the win as a major milestone and plans to continue playing.

Big Ticket is now approaching one of its biggest draws of the year. The Dh30 million grand prize will be awarded during the live draw on January 3, 2026, alongside five consolation prizes of Dh50,000 each.

December has already seen three weekly e-draws producing multiple Dh100,000 winners, with one final weekly e-draw remaining. Tickets for the final e-draw can be purchased until December 31, with the draw airing live on January 1, 2026 at 11am on the Big Ticket YouTube channel.

The Big Win Contest for December has closed, with four winners to be announced on January 1 on the Big Ticket website. All four winners are guaranteed cash prizes ranging from Dh50,000 to Dh150,000 and will attend the live draw on January 3.

Meanwhile, Big Ticket’s Dream Car Series continues, with the BMW 430i draw on January 3, followed by the BMW X5 draw on February 3.
