Abu Dhabi Traffic Police has intensified traffic surveillance on Abu Dhabi - Al Ghuwaifat Rd as hundreds of motorists were found flouting speeding rules.
Major Suhail Sayah Al Mazroui, Head of the Highways Section in the Western Region,  said mobile radar Al Qannas has registered 415 speeding violations in the first three months of the year.
The Traffic and Patrols Directorate at the Abu Dhabi Police is Al Qannas in the Western Region, to make roads safer and reduce accidents.
Major Al Mazroui added that a comprehensive plan is being implemented to reduce accidents on the roads which were expected to witness high traffic density during the summer holidays.
The supervision includes all the hotspots that witness a density of accidents in all directions, he said.
Captain Abdurrahman Al Ali, Public Relations Branch Manager at the Highways Section in the Western Region, called upon motorists to adhere to legal speed limits, and to wear their seat belts.
