40-year-old woman hangs herself to death in UAE house

Sharjah - The primary investigation confirmed that the woman committed suicide for reasons yet unknown.

A 40-year-old Bangladeshi woman allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself from the ceiling fan in a room of a house located in Khorfukkan's Al Bardy area on Sunday.
The woman was living with her community people and decided to end her life when everyone left for work. Police said they received a call informing them that a woman's body has been found in a house. A team of officers from CID, patrols, rescue unit and crime scene divisions reached the site and collected evidence and fingerprints.
The primary investigation confirmed that the woman committed suicide for reasons yet unknown. The police removed the body and transferred it to a forensic laboratory for further investigation. The police also held a number of people - who were in touch with the deceased before the incident - for interrogation.
The police will continue the probe to determine and ascertain if there was criminal act behind the woman's death.
