3-year-old boy run over by dad's car

Sharjah - According to police sources, the father had reversed his car unaware of the fact that his child was playing in the yard.

A three-year-old Emirati boy died instantly after he was run over by his father's car in the compound of his family villa in Wadi Asfani in central Sharjah.
According to police sources, the father had reversed his car unaware of the fact that his child was playing in the yard. The father rushed the child to Al Dhaid Hospital where he was pronounced dead. The devastated father was taken into custody for interrogation and investigation.
According to the hospital, the boy suffered internal bleeding which caused instant death.
The police said this is the third such incident to happen in the central region. They urged families to be careful and to ensure that children are not anywhere near their car while reversing.
