22-year-old Filipina dies after falling from UAE building

A 22-year-old Filipina expat died after falling from the third floor of a building in Ajman on November 23. She was declared dead on arrival at the Sheikh Khalifa Hospital, Philippine consul general Paul Raymund Cortes said.

Confirming the incident, a top police official said they are investigating the circumstances that led to the fatal fall.

Cortes has reported the incident to the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) in Manila and the Philippine authorities have conveyed their condolences to the deceased's family.

Cortes added that the Philippine Consulate is in touch with the relatives of the deceased and is "closely coordinating" with the Ajman authorities in the investigation of her death and in the repatriation of her body.
