Thiroux carries on the hard swinging tradition of such exemplary bass masters as Ray Brown and John Clayton. Her incredible voice channels jazz singers such as Ella Fitzgerald and Anita O'Day. Thiroux's debut album, Introducing Katie Thiroux, was released in 2015 and achieved "Debut Album of the Year" from The Huffington Post.

Roar out loud and proud, the call of the wild is being heard around Dubai, as The Lost World of Barasti launches its 'Wild Thing' brunch that's shaking up Saturdays throughout summer. Truckers Summer Warehouse, a two-month indoor food truck festival is starting at the Dubai World Trade Centre tonight, so be prepared to fly into a funky foodie haven.
