Dubai Fitness Challenge

Dubai will be turning into a 'gym' starting from October 18 - for the third edition of the Dubai Fitness Challenge (DFC). Now all you have to do is to dedicate 30 minutes of each day in the next 30 days and adopt a more active lifestyle for the next month and beyond. You can also join in the fun as the fitness festival kick starts with a fireworks show over the water on October 18. Details here

Diwali celebrations

Residents can look forward to a glittering Diwali, as Dubai gets ready for citywide celebrations on the occasion of the Indian "Festival of Lights". The city is set to witness the biggest- ever Diwali celebrations, the Indian festival of lights, announced the Indian diplomatic mission and Dubai government officials. Festivities include concerts, spectacular shows, sparkling gold and jewellery promotions, and the Middle East debut of The Elephant Parade.

K-Pop in for this 

The Korea Brand & Content Expo 2019 Dubai aims to enhance the relationship between MENA region and Korea. Very worthy. But best of all, a K-Pop concert will be the highlight of the event featuring Korean actress Ha Ji Won (meet and greet) and world-famous boy bands Seventeen and SF9 tonight at Dubai World Trade Centre Arena.

The Cucumber Carnival

After last year's DXB Cucumber Day - a celebration of the inimitable green fruit -The Hendrick's DXB Cucumber Carnival arrives at Soho Garden today and tomorrow. It's a festival weekend with performances, tastings, workshops and shows. Enjoy a concoction of diverse acts including The Electric Swing Circus. Hiking for good

The first Lebanese woman to summit Everest, Tima Deryan, is raising breast cancer awareness in the UAE by hosting a hiking event at Wadi Showka this Friday from 8am to 1pm. This event is open to the public and completely free to join. Mail:
