Dubai's iconic Burj Khalifa will light up in the colours of the Indian flag tonight, according to Emaar. The Tricolour will be displayed every hour for UAE residents to admire and enjoy.
"The Indian flag will be showcased on Burj Khalifa tonight every hour from 7.15pm to 11.15pm," an Emaar representative confirmed to Khaleej Times. The light show will coincide with Indian Prime Minister Narendra's Modi's second state visit to the UAE.
On Friday evening, landmarks in Abu Dhabi and Dubai also lit up to the colours of the Indian flag. Abu Dhabi's Adnoc headquarters and Marina Mall and the Dubai Frame lit up in the Tricolour. Indian Ambassador to the UAE Navdeep Singh Suri said the previous bilateral state visits have energised the relationship between governments and send a very positive message down from the highest levels that India is a country of prime importance.
