Dubai Mall to open new section with 65 stores at start of Ramadan

The mall spans 1.2 million square meters and is already home to over 1,200 retail outlets

Dubai Mall, the emirate's biggest shopping mall, is set to open a new section at the start of the holy month of Ramadan, which will likely fall on March 1.

Mohamed Alabbar, Emaar Properties' founder, took to X to make the announcement, adding that the new section will feature 65 exclusive brands and F&B outlets.

In June 2024, Emaar Properties announced a massive Dh1.5 billion expansion of Dubai Mall. It will include 240 new luxury stores and food and beverage outlets. The contractor is already mobilising on-site for this large-scale project.

Dubai Mall was named the most visited place on Earth in 2023, achieving a new attendance record with 105 million visitors, a 19 per cent increase from the previous year.

It is the world's second-largest shopping mall. Currently, the mall spans 1.2 million square meters and is already home to over 1,200 retail outlets.
