Are you a beach person? Is your idea of a short getaway heading to a beach destination? Move over fancy islands - Maldives, Sri Lanka, Mauritius are all passe.
We have put together a list of destinations passport holders in most countries can travel to without a visa.
Note: Check the official websites of the destinations to see if your country figures in the visa-free category.
If it does, get your passport out (valid for at least six months), book a return flight and pack your bags for your next holiday.
1. Fiji
Explore the exquisite beaches, undersea marvels, swaying palm trees and enjoy your time in Fiji time. If you didn't know, Fiji time is a word used to explain everything from unexpected delays to unplanned things.
While in Fiji, learn the word Bula (pronounced Boo-lah), which is the national greeting on the island.
Visa status: You do not require any visa to go to Fiji for up to four months. You just need an onward or return ticket if you are travelling.

2. Vanuatu

If you fancy watching a live volcano, head to Mt Yasur just before sunrise and for an hour or two after sunset.
Visa status: Tourist visas are not required for stays of up to 30 days.

3. Micronesia
This island state in the Pacific Ocean is one of the extended countries in the world with 607 islands located in an area of 2.7,000 sq km.
Liduduhniap Falls, Pohnpei, The Blue Hole, Kepirohi Waterfall are some of the must-visit places in Micronesia.
Visa status: Valid passport, sufficient funds and proof of onward travel are sufficient to grant entry for 30 days.
Currency: 1 dirham = 0.27 US dollars.
4. Palau
If you are looking for an ideal family friendly destination and love nature, head to Palau and indulge in sports fishing, bird watching. You can enjoy a natural mud bath in the Milky Way. Scoop the muddy clay and apply it on your body as locals claim bathing in the limestone mud can make you look younger by at least 10 years.
Visa status: 30-days Tourist Visa will be issued upon arrival.
Currency: 1 dirham = 0.27 US dollars.
5. Haiti
Get ready to experience the thrill of a lifetime as you need to Bassin Bleu waterfalls in Jacmel. Haiti's capital Port au Prince is a popular tourist destination. If you want to enjoy luxurious resorts, head to Labadee and also try out activities like zip lining or snorkelling.
Visa status: Tourists can stay visa-free for at least three months (with few exceptions).
Currency: 1 dirham =18.89 Haitian Gourde
