Abu Dhabi Police set a new Guinness World Record with a caravan of 200 GMC SUVs.
The record for the 200-GMC convoy was created by the police patrols as part of the 'Year of Zayed' initiatives. It was the biggest caravan of GMC SUVs.
According to press statement issued, the youth council of Abu Dhabi Police arranged the event in cooperation with GMC Middle East at Yas Marina Circuit.
The event took place alongside the youth meeting "Hayatak Ghaliya" (Your life's precious) that discussed ways of improving traffic safety, focusing on the main reasons behind accidents, such as speeding, sudden changing of lanes and not wearing a seatbelt.
Additionally, Abu Dhabi Police emphasised the old and strong ties between government and private sectors, which aim at consolidation of efforts to create safer roads.
