Work on Ajman road projects in full swing

Ajman - The municipality has started a number of projects which include road works in Al Raqyeb area, and the 4-kilometre road in Masfoot.

A road project worth Dh3.5million, which is expected to complete by the year-end, will add an additional lane in both directions of the Khalifa Road in Ajman.
Yahiya Al Reyaysa, director-general of Ajman Municipality, told Khaleej Times: "The road will have four lanes instead of three lanes in both directions. The expansion plan is aimed at reducing traffic problems, as it is the road that leads to other emirates and links all areas of the emirate. It is also considered as one of the most important business roads in the emirate."
The municipality has started a number of projects which include road works in Al Raqyeb area, and the 4-kilometre road in Masfoot estimated Dh5million. Work is also in progress at Al Muwaihat area.
Al Reyaysa added the Al Kuwaiti street in Al Nuaimiya area will get additional lanes in both direction, in addition to construction of parking areas, water drainage system and pumping station.
He added the municipality has completed construction of a foot bridge in Khalifa Road with an expense of Dh1.5 million. Another foot-bridge is under construction in Shaikh Rashid bin Saeed road, spending Dh2.3million.
