UAE traffic: Heavy congestion on Dubai-Sharjah road

Morning rush on Monday morning slowed down traffic on Dubai roads, with heavy congestion on Mohammed Bin Zayed Road towards Dubai from Sharjah.
The Abu Dhabi Department of Municipal Affairs and Transport took to Twitter to report an accident  inbound on Sheikh Zayed Street after the mangrove underpass. The incident caused heavy delays and snarls, which was cleared at 8.06am

 
According to Google Maps data, Dubai-Sharjah road is in the red with rush hour congestion levels. No accidents have been reported so far.

Slow moving traffic was also observed on Sheikh Zayed Road's E11 - from Al Nahda street  towards Dubai.

Tailbacks were reported with heavy congestion on Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road from the National Paints roundabout in Sharjah to Mirdif City Centre. Delays were also expected on Al Wahda Street.

Police urge motorists to drive with caution.
