Traffic city for children recommended

Lieutenant-General Dhahi Khalfan Tamim, Commander-in-Chief of the Dubai Police, has recommended establishment of a maritime rescue unit and a traffic city for children.

The unit was recommended at the concluding session of the two-day comprehensive strategic development workshop organised by the general department of total quality of the Dubai Police.

The recommendation was made in collaboration with the other police departments and keeping in mind criminal issues and disasters. The participants felt that the establishment of the traffic city would help spread awareness among children and create devices that would help spread awareness among the general public.

Dr Abdul Qosus Al Abdaili, Director of General Department of Total Quality, said the workshop put forth major recommendations in traffic and criminal issues, transportation, health security and other economic and social issues.

He said the proposals and discussions were fruitful and beneficial and it came with positive decisions and recommendations.
