Lt-Colonel Ahmed bin Darwish, Deputy Head of Patrols and Traffic, said the Sharjah Police will monitor the roads to ensure a smooth flow of traffic, reduce accidents and prevent traffic law violations during the holy month.

More patrols would be deployed near mosques and shopping malls to prevent crowding and facilitate easy access and exits. The police would also fine motorists if their vehicles are parked in unauthorised areas.
