At a meeting held at the Presidential Affairs Ministry under the chairmanship of Ahmed Jumaa Al Zaabi, Deputy Minister for Presidential Affairs, on Tuesday, the committee listened to a detailed presentation on the internal roads and the external roads linking the emirates.
The current projects complement the committee’s plan to develop and establish a network of modern roads in the country enabling it to keep pace with the construction boom, the steady increase in the population and the expanding transportation needs.
The effort comes in implementation of the directives of the President, His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, to give attention to comprehensive country-wide development.
The initiative, which is closely followed up by General Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, also aims at the completion of infrastructure projects which support the renaissance of the country.
